Propositions

  1. Man is a holistic being, a “living soul”
  2. The “immortal soul” doctrine is based on pagan mythology/philosophy
  3. People do not go to heaven, purgatory, or hell when they die
  4. Death is an unconscious state, best described in the Bible as “sleep”
  5. Life after death requires resurrection, not innate immortality
  6. Eternal life is possible for everyone through the saving grace of Christ
  7. There is no such thing as Eternal Torment

  1. He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already.
Jesus even told about the richman and Lazarus
    He was tormented.
I don’t know for sure but you have definitely distorted the word of God.
God says He will not deal lightly with your kind.
All through the word of God He brings judgment.

    1. I appreciate your thoughtful, honest comments. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus deserves our attention, for it includes vital truths that we need to understand. But if you look closely, you’ll see that there are many problems with the view that the story is the literal truth. This I have pointed out in my post.

  2. So what does the bible meant when it says there will be an EVERLASTING fire. What type of body will we have that would cause the unrighteous to be burning forever?
